Paratypes: SIO 50-42 (11); CAS-SU 17403-04 (1, 2). •Valid as Gobiesox eugrammus Briggs 1955 -- (Eschmeyer & Herald 1983:109 [ref. 9277], Nelson et al. 2004:167 [ref. 27807], Love et al. 2005:159 [ref. 37547], Page et al. 2013:173 [ref. 32708], Kells et al. 2016:351 [ref. 35888], Hastings & Conway 2017:396 [ref. 35062], Conway et al. 2017:[9] [ref. 35287], Love et al. 2021:201 [ref. 39279]). Current status: Valid as Gobiesox eugrammus Briggs 1955. Gobiesocidae: Gobiesocinae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: southern California (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of central Baja California (Mexico), including Guadalupe Island (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
