Syntypes: (18) BMNH 1894.5.18.52 (1), CAS 29351 (5). •Questionably a synonym of Nannostomus trifasciatus Steindachner 1876 or the same as Nannostomus marginatus Eigenmann 1909 -- (Weitzman 1966:27 [ref. 12368], Marinho 2024:389 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Uncertain as Nannostomus trifasciatus Steindachner 1876. Lebiasinidae: Pyrrhulininae. Habitat: freshwater.
