bunguranensis, Rasbora elegans Brittan [M. R.] 1951:3, Fig. 2 [Proceedings of the California Zoological Club v. 2 (no. 1); ref. 12413] Bunguran Island, between Borneo and Malaya. Holotype: BMNH 1912.12.10.11. Paratypes: CAS-SU 15328 [ex BMNH 1912.12.10:19-20] (2); BMNH 1912.12.10.12-18 (7) [text says 1912.10.12-18, 17 specimens]. Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:37 [ref. 12291]. •Synonym of Rasbora elegans Volz 1903, but a valid subspecies as described -- (Brittan 1954:73 [ref. 646]). •Valid as Rasbora bunguranensis Brittan 1951 -- (Kottelat et al. 1993:45 [ref. 23448], Tan & Lim 2004:109 [ref. 27716], Liao et al. 2010:166 [ref. 30521], Lumbantobing 2014:22 [ref. 33163], Kottelat 2013:151 [ref. 32989]). Current status: Valid as Rasbora bunguranensis Brittan 1951. Cyprinidae: Rasborinae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Pulau Natuna Besar, Natuna Archipelago. Habitat: freshwater.
