Paratypes: CAS 71818 [ex IU 15067] (1); MCZ 30972 (1), ?30973 (1). Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:223 [ref. 29155]. Author is C. H. Eigenmann. •Valid as Ancistrus occloi Eigenmann 1928 -- (Isbrücker 1980:71 [ref. 2303], Ortega & Vari 1986:16 [ref. 9708], Burgess 1989:437 [ref. 12860], Isbrücker 2001:25 [ref. 25653], Isbrücker 2002:12 [ref. 27178], Fisch-Muller in Reis et al. 2003:378 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:223 [ref. 29155], Neuhaus et al. 2023:7 [ref. 40715]). Current status: Valid as Ancistrus occloi Eigenmann 1928. Loricariidae: Hypostominae. Distribution: South America: upper Urubamba River basin, upper Ucayali River basin, Peru. Habitat: freshwater.
