Current status: Valid as Coelorinchus scaphopsis (Gilbert 1890). Macrouridae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: northern California (U.S.A.) south to Pacific coast of Baja California (Mexico); Gulf of California (Mexico). Habitat: marine.
