Paralectotypes: ANSP 92345 [ex UMMZ 61528] (1); BMNH 1892.12.30.412-420 (many); CAS 208589 [ex IU 4444-45] (44); MCZ 34846 (2); CAS-SU 517 (3), 27718 (5); UMMZ 61528 (3); USNM 44874 (3), 371921 [ex USNM 125635 (ex USFC 731), formerly included lectotype] (2). Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:62 [ref. 12291], Böhlke 1984:140 [ref. 13621]. The lectotype was established (as figured specimen referred to by "drawing...from the type") in caption to Pl. 122 (fig. 330) in Jordan & Evermann (1900:3259 [ref. 2446]), and the lectotype is identified by a drawing of the specimen at USNM and by its total length. •Valid as Percopsis transmontana (Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1892) -- (Lee et al. 1980:486 [ref. 22416], Page & Burr 1991:212 [ref. 18983], Stauffer et al. 1995:242 [ref. 23376], Wydoski & Whitney 2003:171 [ref. 27816], Poly 2004:3 [ref. 27584], Nelson et al. 2004:90 [ref. 27807], Scharpf 2006:35 [ref. 30386], Page & Burr 2011:416 [ref. 31215], Page et al. 2013:91 [ref. 32708], Page et al. 2023:99 [ref. 40505]). Current status: Valid as Percopsis transmontana (Eigenmann & Eigenmann 1892). Percopsidae. Distribution: Western North America: Columbia River drainage, Idaho, Washington and Oregon (U.S.A.). Habitat: freshwater.
