Current status: Valid as Ogilbia ventralis (Gill 1863). Dinematichthyidae. Distribution: Eastern Pacific: Pacific coast of southern Baja California Sur (Mexico) south to Panama, including Gulf of California (Mexico) and Galapagos Islands (Ecuador). Habitat: marine.
