conventus, Bryconamericus Eigenmann [C. H.] 1913:13 [Indiana University Studies No. 18; ref. 1229] Soplaviento, Colombia. Holotype: FMNH 56261 [ex CM 5060]. Paratypes: (70, CM and IU) CAS 39439 [ex IU 12802] (14); FMNH 56262 (14), 71290 (43); USNM 79174 (4). Type catalog: Henn 1928:62 [ref. 12305], Ibarra & Stewart 1987:18 [ref. 12367], Vari & Howe 1991:10 [ref. 19022]. Eigenmann 1922:148 [ref. 1243] and Eigenmann 1927:396 [ref. 12292] treated the species epithet as an adjective, so combined with a feminine genus, the species name should be conventa. •Valid as Argopleura conventa (Eigenmann 1913) -- (Román-Valencia 2000:462 [ref. 25256] as conventus, Weitzman in Reis et al. 2003:223 [ref. 27061] as conventus, Thomaz et al. 2015:Add. 5 [ref. 33893] as conventus, DoNascimiento et al. 2017:59 [ref. 35633] as conventus). Current status: Valid as Argopleura conventa (Eigenmann 1913). Characidae: Stevardiinae. Distribution: South America: Colombia. Habitat: freshwater.
