Type catalog: Böhlke 1953:39 [ref. 12291]. •Synonym of Acanthophthalmus kuhlii (Valenciennes 1846) -- (Burridge 1992:181 [ref. 19452]). •Valid as Pangio myersi (Harry 1949) -- (Doi 1997:15 [ref. 22832], Kottelat 2001:90 [ref. 25780], Kottelat 2012:39 [ref. 32367], Valis'eva & Vasil'ev 2012:665 [ref. 32477], Kottelat 2013:183 [ref. 32989], Taki et al. 2021:187 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Pangio myersi (Harry 1949). Cobitidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong River basin, southeastern Thailand and western Cambodia. Habitat: freshwater.
