Holotype: ANSP 59441. Paratypes: ANSP 59442 (1). Type catalog: Böhlke 1984:136 [ref. 13621], Ferraris 2007:359 [ref. 29155]. •Mention -- (Kottelat 1984:815 [ref. 11440]). •Valid as Pangasius longibarbis Fowler 1934 -- (Burgess 1989:105 [ref. 12860]). •Synonym of Laides hexanema (Bleeker 1852) -- (Roberts 1989:131 [ref. 6439]). •Valid as Laides longibarbis (Fowler 1934) -- (Ng 1999:381 [ref. 24238], Kottelat 2001:130 [ref. 25780], Ferraris 2007:359 [ref. 29155], Kottelat 2013:252 [ref. 32989], Kottelat 2015:46 [ref. 33971], Taki et al. 2021:274 [ref. 39830]). Current status: Valid as Laides longibarbis (Fowler 1934). Ailiidae. Distribution: Southeast Asia: Mekong, Mae Klong and Chao Phraya River basins, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
