Type catalog: Ferraris 2007:172 [ref. 29155]. •Valid as Kalyptodoras bahiensis Higuchi, Britski & Garavello 1990 -- (Burgess & Finley 1996:166 [ref. 22901], Sabaj & Ferraris in Reis et al. 2003:461 [ref. 27061], Ferraris 2007:172 [ref. 29155], Birindelli 2014:536 [ref. 33501], Silva et al. 2020:10 [ref. 37809]). Current status: Valid as Kalyptodoras bahiensis Higuchi, Britski & Garavello 1990. Doradidae: Wertheimerinae. Distribution: South America: Paraguaçu River basin (Bahia State, Brazil). Habitat: freshwater.
