D.] 1997:1 [English p. 4], Fig. 1 [Tap Chí Sinh Hoc (Journal of Biology) v. 19 (no. 1); ref. 24128] Upstream of Sê Kông River, Mekong River system, A Luoi district, Thua Thien, Hue Province, Vietnam, 16°15'32N, 107°13'31E, elevation 469 meters. Holotype: HNUE V1.1.21. Paratypes: 3 (Catalog number not given; same location as holotype). New species cited as Lissochilus aluoiensis Duc (not Nguyen) in original. [Full name of author is Nguyen, Huu Duc.] Latitude and Longitude differ in the abstract. •Valid as Poropuntius aluoiensis (Nguyen 1997) -- (Kottelat 2013:143 [ref. 32989], Endruweit 2014:146 [ref. 33205]). Current status: Valid as Poropuntius aluoiensis (Nguyen 1997). Cyprinidae: Cyprininae. Distribution: Hue Province, Selong River subbasin, central Vietnam. Habitat: freshwater.
