Paratypes: BMNH 1927.1.6.33-35 (3); CAS 217124 (1); MNHN 2002-3431 (1); NSMT-P 65184 (1); SAIAB [formerly RUSI] 52820 (1); 67096 (1). •Valid as Engyprosopon mozambiquensis Hensley 2003 -- (Fricke et al. 2018:370 [ref. 35805]). • Valid as Engyprosopon mozambiquense Hensley 2003 -- (Amaoka & Ho 2018:470 [ref. 35909], Amaoka & Ho 2019:186 [ref. 37188], Hensley & Amaoka 2022:338 [ref. 40220], Matsunuma & Motomura 2023:[2] [ref. 40413]). Current status: Valid as Engyprosopon mozambiquense Hensley 2003. Bothidae. Distribution: Indo-West Pacific: East Africa (Mozambique) and northern Madagascar east to Philippines, north to Ryukyu Islands (Japan), south to Coral Sea. Habitat: marine.
