Paratypes: ANSP 139597 (6); FMNH 109347 (1), 109348 (2), 109350 (3); MBUCV-V-30781 (2). •Valid as Bryconops collettei Chernoff & Machado-Allison 2005 -- (Wingert & Malabarba 2011:474 [ref. 31515], Barriga Salazar 2014:106 [ref. 35745], DoNascimiento et al. 2017:64 [ref. 35633], Silva-Oliveira et al. 2019:382 [ref. 36876], Silva-Oliveira & Lima 2024:372 [ref. 40817]). Current status: Valid as Bryconops collettei Chernoff & Machado-Allison 2005. Iguanodectidae. Distribution: South America: Orinoco River basin, Colombia and Venezuela. Habitat: freshwater.
