Holotype (unique): NCIP 6305. •Valid as Centropyge abei Allen, Young & Colin 2006 -- (Allen & Erdmann 2012:544 [ref. 31980], Wada et al. 2022:68 [ref. 39100]). Current status: Valid as Centropyge abei Allen, Young & Colin 2006. Pomacanthidae. Distribution: Western Pacific: Sulawesi (Indonesia) and Palau, north to Izu Peninsula (Japan). Habitat: marine.
