Holotype: WHT 7727. Paratypes: CMK 7106 (2), 7139 (2), 8838 (2), 12192 (3), 10773 (1); WHT 11 (2), 125 (3), 7728 (2). •Valid as Mystus ankutta Pethiyagoda, Silva & Maduwage 2008 -- (Ng & Kottelat 2009:248 [ref. 30202], Ng & Pethiyagoda 2013:167 [ref. 33011], Sudasinghe et al. 2016:171 [ref. 34902]). Current status: Valid as Mystus ankutta Pethiyagoda, Silva & Maduwage 2008. Bagridae. Distribution: Sri Lanka. Habitat: freshwater.
