R.] 2010:28, Figs. 1-2 [Neotropical Ichthyology v. 8 (no. 1); ref. 30752] Cavalcante, córrego in the road GO 241 between Cavalcante and Minaçu, tributary of rio das Almas, rio Paranã drainage, upper rio Tocantins basin, 13°36'56.7"S, 47°31'06.6"W, Goiás State, Brazil, elevation 1163 meters. Holotype: MCP 44289. Paratypes: DZSJRP 12339 (12); MCP 44290 (12); MZUSP 104303 (12); UFRGS 11288 (37), 11289 (82, 5 c&s). Type catalog: Andrade et al. 2017:438 [ref. 35588]. •Valid as Hasemania kalunga Bertaco & Carvalho 2010 -- (Zanata & Serra 2010:21 [ref. 30751], Serra & Langeani 2015:485 [ref. 33944]). Current status: Valid as Hasemania kalunga Bertaco & Carvalho 2010. Characidae: Stethaprioninae. Distribution: Upper Tocantins River basin, Brazil. Habitat: freshwater.
