Paratypes: PKU 840 (1), 3483-3484 (2), 3864 (1), 3865-3872 (8), 3873 (1), 3874-3876 (3), 3877 (1), 3878-3879 (2), 3880 (1), 4213 (1). •Valid as Ophichthus sangjuensis (Ji & Kim 2011) -- (Hibino et al. 2019:301 [ref. 36433], Kim et al. 2020:55 [ref. 39118], Mohapatra et al. 2020:[1] [ref. 37690], Ji et al. 2021:244 [ref. 39406], Kodeeswaran et al. 2023:7 [ref. 40457], Kodeeswaran et al. 2023:7 [ref. 40641]). Current status: Valid as Ophichthus sangjuensis (Ji & Kim 2011). Ophichthidae: Ophichthinae. Distribution: Eastern Indian Ocean, northwestern Pacific: West Bengal (India); southern Korea and Japan. Habitat: marine.
