Holotype: HUMZ 68699. Paratypes: FAKU 50670 (1). •Synonym of Synchiropus altivelis (Temminck & Schlegel 1845) -- (Fricke 1983:577 [ref. 8349]). •Valid as Foetorepus kinmeiensis Nakabo, Yamamoto & Chen 1983 -- (Randall 1999:199 [ref. 24082]). •Valid as Synchiropus kinmeiensis (Nakabo, Yamamoto & Chen 1983) -- (Fricke 2002:57 [ref. 26547], Mundy 2005:468 [ref. 28379], Randall 2007:388 [ref. 30952]). Current status: Valid as Synchiropus kinmeiensis (Nakabo, Yamamoto & Chen 1983). Callionymidae. Distribution: Northern central Pacific: Hawaiian Ridge endemic. Habitat: marine.
