C.] & Lubbock [R.] 1979:241, Fig. 2 [Bulletin of the British Museum (Natural History) Zoology v. 36 (no. 4); ref. 8796] 50-100 meters seaward east of South Island, Lizard Island, Great Barrier Reef, Australia, depth 26 meters. Holotype: BMNH 1978.2.28.1. Paratypes: AMS I.20689-001 (1), USNM 218980 (1). •Valid as Amblyeleotris callopareia Polunin & Lubbock 1979 -- (Mohlmann & Munday 1999:62 [ref. 24273], Aonuma et al. 2000:117 [ref. 24522], Larson & Murdy 2001:3594 [ref. 26293], Hoese & Larson 2006:1618 [ref. 29097], Chen et al. 2006:2563 [ref. 29024], Parenti 2021:83 [ref. 38603]). Current status: Valid as Amblyeleotris callopareia Polunin & Lubbock 1979. Gobiidae: Gobiinae. Distribution: Southwestern Pacific: Queensland (Australia). Habitat: marine.
