m, f, juveniles. Fixed in 10% buffered (dolomite) formalin ~1 month. |
Collecting Event Remarks |
Water temp. = 17 C. Saw one territoral/nuptial male near junction of Rabbit and Palmer sloughs. Traps pulled at 1100 hr on 13 June. Numerous Gasterosteus in all but one trap regardless of where set. Made subsample in 50% isopropyl and selected out of 5 very small fish and range of larger Gasterosteus for isopropyl. Also got 4 bottles for formalin fixation. Numerous gravid females and nuptial males. One salmonid and one Dalia pectoralis in traps near junction with Palmer Slough. All traps reset. Traps pulled again at 1000 hr on 14 June. Got 3 more bottles of formalin fixed fish and 4 more small fish. Released one salmonid and 2 Dalia pectoralis. |
