Description Sikyatki revival style jar with flat base, flaring sides; Very high, well defined shoulder, and very short neck; Rim form is straight with rounded lip; Wide design band covering lower shoulder and most of sides is divided into 4 main panels with feather and cloud motifs repeated twice in red and black, all between wide black upper and lower framing lines; Artist’s hallmark of a frog is painted in black on base. Paqua Naha was the mother of Joy Navasie (second Frog Woman), the grandmother of Natelle Navasie Curtis, the great-grandmother of Harrison Jim, Jr., the mother-in-law of Helen Naha (Feather Woman), and the grandmother of Sylvia Naha, all of whose work are represented in the CAS pottery collection.
