Description |
Backstrap loom (including 1 heddle rod and 1 batten) with partially woven belt; Belt is woven in double-sided warp faced twill technique, producing a continuous pattern of contiguous open red diamonds on a green background, flanked along sides by parallel yellow, purple, red, and black borders; All warps are 2 ply in single colors; Weft if also 2 ply of white and beige and is much heavier than the warps; Approximately 3/4 of the belt is woven, with warp yarns on remaining portion tied into bundle at end. |
