Description | Headband made and worn by both married and unmarried women; Band is made of 8 circular strings of glass beads strung on hairs from giraffe tail; Each string is a single color (red, yellow, or green) except for one (which is half red and half alternating black and white) and in three areas where the strands are twined together with additional giraffe hairs to keep the strands evenly spaced; At the back of the band, the end each strand is fastened to a short length of bone; At the front, 4 flat disc beads are strong on length of wire which is wrapped around band. | |
