Materials Warp and weft: alpaca wool
Description Rectangular shawl worn by woman or young girl and woven on 4-stake horizontal loom; Shawl is woven longer than wide and entirely in warp-faced plainweave technique; Design field consists mostly of wide stripes in several shades of brown, with a series of narrow parallel stripes in maroon, pink, and white near each side edge and running the entire length of the shawl; Decorative border with scalloped edge in red and outlined in white is crocheted around all four edges of shawl.
