Description Dance sling consisting of a braided rope in colors of black-brown, brown, gray, and white; Approx. half of the rope is woven with 8 strands in a continuous pattern of chevrons; At the end several of the strands are wrapped around the others and knotted and the remaining strands are left loose as fringe; Other half of rope is woven with 16 strands in a continuous pattern of zigzag lines; Near the end, the rope is divided into a finger hold of two 8-strand braided sections with chevron pattern, then rejoin and end with zigzag pattern; At end the individual strands are concealed within a very large tassel of white yarns which are doubled and wrapped near their base; Section of rope with zigzag pattern is decorated with 12 pompoms, made from small piece of alpaca hide to which dyed (turquoise, pink, yellow, and orange) or undyed (white) wool fiber is still attached, all of them fastened with a running length of white cotton string.
