Description Dance sling consisting of a braided rope in colors of black, white, tan, brown and gray; Approx. half of the rope is woven with 16 strands in a continuous pattern of zigzag lines in first four colors, and is round in cross-section; Near end, the strands separate and form two 8-strand braids to form a finger hole; At end, individual yarns are concealed within large white tassel of additional yarn, whose strands are doubled and sewn down with additional white yarn; Other half of rope is woven with 8 strands with continuous pattern of chevrons in white, black, gray, and tan, and this section is also round in cross-section; At end, yarns are tied off with thread and cut off cleanly; Length of 16-strand section is decorated with 9 small tassels, each comprised of paired bundles of alpaca fiber in solid colors (white, rust brown, light and dark yellow, orange, green, and pink) that are held against braided section and sewn down with brown yarn.
