Description | Dance sling consisting of a braided rope in colors of white, and light and dark brown; Approx. half of the rope is woven with 8 strands in a continuous pattern of spiral zigzags with numerous changes in the direction in which the strands cross; This section of rope is very thick and is round in cross-section; At the end, additional dark brown strands are threaded through the braid and sewn down to form a tassel, with the ends of the braid strands concealed within; Other half of rope begins with a patterned flat tapestry-weave section in center and then becomes a 5-strand flat braided rope with a continuous pattern of chevrons; At end, one of the strands is wrapped around the others and tied off, before the remaining strands are cut off. | |
