Description | Rectangular blanket composed of two warp-faced plainweave panels that are seamed together down the center; Design on each panel consists of series of stripes woven in two or more colors, with the colors of the stripes determined by the order of different colors of warp yarn, resulting in solid stripes as well as beaded stripes; Flat joining stitch of salmon-colored yarn is used on half of the center seam and of white yarn on the other half; According to weaver, blankets of this width were formerly used by an entire family, but they are no longer produced. | |
