Description Braided rope in colors of white, medium brown, and two shades of variegated white/brown, made from four plied strands, three of which are doubled at the beginning and wrapped around the fourth plied strand, to yield a total of 7 plied strands which are then flat braided; At the start end, the strands are sewn or tied down with a short piece of red yarn and at the finish end they are sewn or tied down with a short piece of pink yarn; According to field notes, this type of rope is usually made and used in pairs (one for packing an animal and one for leading it); Companion piece to this rope is CAS 0514-0195.
