| Description | Small round bowl with flat, pedestal base, flaring sides, and slightly everted rim; Bowl was thrown on potter's wheel; Exterior surface is somewhat rough, while interior surface is scraped smoother and decorated with floral motif in center with 5 green petals outlined in black, green band around interior rim, and a squiggly design repeated three times around interior rim; Interior is coated with yellowish green glaze, some of which spilled over the rim and partially ran down the exterior sides; Bowls of this type were used for eating and were made by a craft specialist and then transported to regional markets for sale; This bowl was probably made in Pukara Lampa Province. | |
