3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Konin Taha-um, an uncle and side dancer to the Konin katsinam who represent the Havasupai people of the Grand Canyon; Upper torso is red with blue right shoulder and left forearm and yellow left shoulder and right forearm; He wears carved and painted white kilt, sash belt, and dance sash, painted knitted leggings, red moccasins, yarn garters and wristlets, and blue ribbon bandolier; Blue case mask has one red horn on right side and red tab ear on left side, band of multicolored yarns frame forehead and hang down front to waist; Bundle of small gray and brown feathers are on top of mask and large dyed blue feathers are glued to back of mask. |
