3-dimensional carved figure in standing position with crossed legs, representing Huhuwa (Cross-legged Katsina), a Mishongnovi man who was crippled but was of such a kind spirit that he was made a katsina; He appears during the Bean Dance and gives presents to children; His body is painted white and he wears a carved and painted black poncho-like shirt, black and white checked kilt, brown moccasins, and red kerchief around his neck; His white hair is made from unspun wool, and his white face is painted with a pink round spot on each cheek and a black band across the bridge of his nose; He also wears a round yellow disc representing a flower in the front of his hair; He carries a gray feather in each outstretched hand. |
