Description 3-dimensional carved figure in animated, dancing position, representing Navan (Velvet Shirt Katsina), who was borrowed from the Zuni sometime after 1900; Figure's torso is painted red with yellow shoulders; One forearm is yellow while other forearm and lower body are painted white, with brown cross-hatched lines on legs; He wears carved and painted black moccasins, dash sash, and fox tail, as well as black cloth breechclout and black cloth poncho-like shirt decorated with red, green, and blue ribbons and sequins; Black yarn pompom tied to right wrist and green pompom on left wrist; Light blue case mask has red tab ears and tubular snout; Red inverted "V" is painted over nose; Neck ruff is made of twined plant fibers.
