Description 3-dimensional carved figure in standing position with articulated arms, representing Salimopia Shelow'ona (Red Warrior of the South), one of twelve such deities who represent youth, vitality, and beauty and who protect the Zuni from many misfortunes; Figure's body is completely painted red and he wears woven cloth kilt painted with designs, carved and painted red moccasins, and green wool anklets; Red case mask has black painted eyes, tubular mouth, multi-colored painted rosette on each side, black wool yarn neck ruff, and small bundle of yellow feathers tied on top; Figure carries bundle of yucca whips in each hand.
