3-dimensional carved figure in standing position, representing Koyaala (Koshari) (Hano Clown), a clown who appears in nearly every pueblo and who is both sacred and profane; Figure's body is painted in alternating black and white horizontal bands and he wears carved and painted black breechclout and brown moccasins; Face is also painted white and eyes and mouth are outlined in black; Headdress is painted similarly to figure's body with two projecting horns; Bundles of corn husk represent ears and bits of additional corn husk decorate tips of horns. |
