Description Large 3-dimensional carved figure in standing position with articulated arms, probably representing Atoshle, who visits Zuni in January with his wife, Suyuki, to catch bad children whom they are said to eat; Figure's torso and upper arms are painted red with black zigzag lines; Forearms and lower legs are painted white with black polka dots; Figure wears a black cloth kilt (with feathers tied around lower half), white waist sash, carved and painted (blue and white) moccasins, and coyote (?) pelt cape; His case mask is dark brown with green dots and has large, bulging eyes, wide snout with bared teeth, large red tab ears, and shaggy mane of black horsehair; Several feathers and bits of tree lichen are attached to top of head; He carries crook in left hand and red (blood-stained) sword in right hand.
