Materials Handspun natural wool warp and weft; Angora wool inserts
Description Tufted rug or saddle throw, woven wider than long and woven entirely in plain tapestry weave, with additional lengths of Angora wool looped through the warps in rows that are spaced approximately every 2.5 cm, resulting in a shag surface on the front face of the rug; Most of the Angora inserts are white, against a white background, but in two rectangular areas (one along each side) and in several rows along one end of the rug, the inserts are gray, resulting in a block pattern; Selvage cords and end cords (on one end only) are white; Warps one one end are cut and then plied and tied off to form short fringe.
