Description Round shallow dinner plate whose interior and exterior are scraped very smooth, coated with a slip, and highly burnished; Series of 8 contiguous and elongated triangles along rim, each with attached 2-pronged tail, form a whirling wheel pattern, leaving most of the plate’s interior undecorated; Plate was reduction fired to yield a black-on-black design; Signature “Marie” is incised in script on base.
