Description Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth, coated with a slip and highly burnished; Design band around interior rim is painted in matte black slip and consists of four stacked triangles at each of the cardinal directions and pendant from a heavy framing line just inside the lip; A second line parallels the first one, but is broken into segments by the triangles; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base.
