Description Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth, coated with a slip and highly burnished; Design band around interior rim is painted in matte black slip and consists of four paired and stacked triangular units, each with an attached rectilinear spiral’ All the triangular units are joined by means of a heavy framing line just below the interior rim; Center of plate is undecorated; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base.
