| Description | Large basket made from single hour glass-shaped sheet of eucalyptus bark folded in half along bottom and lashed together along sides with bamboo strips; Vertical sides rise to circular rim, half of which is coil-wrapped with bamboo strips in herringbone pattern; Exterior is painted all over with red ochre and over-painted with black diamond lattice pattern; Diamond shapes within lattice pattern are alternately stippled in white or yellow pigments. | |
