Description | Upper section of the headstall portion of a horse bridle, consisting of 5 sections, each hammered from silver into elongated button form and mounted on leather belt by means of copper wire loops and copper strap loops on reverse; Center piece is stamped with elongated motif of crescents, serrated diagonal lines, and triangles, and includes triangular extension, below that is stamped with concentric diamond and pair of leaf motifs; Double-bar horse shoe shaped Naja pendant is stamped with 2 rows of contiguous triangles and set with oval turquoise in plain bezel; Flanking center piece on each side is short straight piece and L-shaped piece, both stamped with zigzag line, and straight line with fine serrated edges; Headstall is unsigned. | |
