Description | Small clear glass cylindrical bottle with tall neck that has been covered in basket conforming to bottle's shape and is woven primarily in plain closed twining, with single row of 3-strand twining in middle of base and two rows of exposed, crossed warps around midsection of neck; Warp and weft materials are rye grass stems; Designs are woven of worsted wool yarn which are substituted for grass weft fibers and consist of 6 regularly spaced single-row bands around sides of basket; Five of the design bands are red and green while the uppermost band is all red; Bottle may originally have had woven basketry lid. | |
