Man's hooded parka made from lengths of bleached seal intestines sewn together with sinew in a spiral pattern with very narrow strips of dyed (yellow or red) seal skin worked into some of the seams; Face opening on hood has cotton string drawstring terminating with short seal skin tassel decorated with red and blue glass beads; Hemline, sleeve cuffs, and hood are edged in dyed (yellow, red, and black) sealskin. |
