| Description | Rectangular textile loincloth woven in two long strips that are joined together down the center; Each strip is woven in 2/2 simple plaiting technique; Along the sides, the fibers are folded over and are partially woven back into the band; At each end, the fibers are shredded and gathered into 3 small fringe bundles; Front of loincloth is stencil printed with 4 long rows of chevron motifs, flanked along sides by plain narrow band, all printed deep purple-red on white background. | |
