Hair comb (in process of manufacture) carved from single piece of wood; Overall shape is rectangular with very long, thin handle extending more than half of comb's total length; Comb has been rough-cut and its faces are planed smooth; 17 rounded teeth extending slightly less than 1/3 total length of comb have been carved at distal end; Teeth taper toward distal end; Width of handle expands and contracts several times, before finally ending in very long, narrow projection at proximal end; Edges of handle and teeth have not been sanded smooth. |
