| Description | Small round basket with flat base and flaring sides, woven entirely in coiled technique over bundle coils; Warp material is cedar bark strands and weft material is cedar roots; Design on exterior sides is woven in imbrication technique and consists of a band of open terraced contiguous diamonds with a small "V' motif above each one, all woven in dyed cherry bark on a background of dyed bear grass leaves; Evidence of spaced stitches around rim indicate original presence of looped or scalloped rim. | |
