Description | Shallow round basket with small diameter flat base and widely flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is bear grass stems and primary weft material is split yucca leaves; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and natural undyed yucca leaves, and consists of whirling pattern of 3 floral-like petals that radiate out from center, woven of yellow-green undyed yucca leaves and edged in black devil's claw pods, all on background of sun bleached yucca leaves; Final rim coil is decorated with overstitch of black devil's claw, which is alternately diagonal or parallel to the underlying yucca weft fibers. | |
