Description Rectangular mat woven of narrow reddish-brown and dyed (black) cedar splints in a plaited technique; All-over design consists of alternating blacks of light and dark color, derived by laying out warps and wefts in sections of dark and light fibers; Warp and weft splints are wrapped around cotton string at edges and braided to form a selvage.
